5. BECOME A BABY ELEPHANT FOSTER PARENT

DESCRIPTION - Through an incredible organization called the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Epic Road will pay a fee of $500 and foster an orphaned baby elephant on your behalf. When a tiny new-born elephant is orphaned, it is often because its' mother has been killed to serve the brutal ivory trade. Unable to survive without its' mother's milk, the DSWT rescues, rehabilitates and eventually reintroduces the calf into the wild - a process which can take up to 10 years. Your involvement greatly aids the conservation of this amazing species.

WHY WE CHOSE IT - We are big supporters of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and their continued efforts to protect and save Africa's elephants as well as other species that are similarly victim to poaching. As foster parents ourselves, we are proud to be a part of the DSWT team and we invite you to join us.

6. HELP SAVE THE WORLD'S WILD CATS

DESCRIPTION - Epic Road will donate $500 to Panthera on your behalf - an organization with a mission to ensure a future for wild cats and the vast landscapes on which they depend. Panthera is the only institution of its' kind, exclusively devoted to the conservation of the world's 38 wild cat species. With a dedicated team of expert biologists, non-profits & local communities, Panthera develops and implements global strategies for the most imperiled cats, including: tigers, lions, jaguars, snow leopards, cheetahs, pumas and leopards.

WHY WE CHOSE IT - As a company that is deeply committed to wildlife conservation, we heavily endorse Panthera's mission. By getting involved, you are becoming an active participant in assuring that these iconic predators continue to live and thrive in the wild, forever.

7. CREATE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES FOR ORPHANS

DESCRIPTION - Goods for Good is an organization that helps to build the financial capacity of communities in Malawi so they can provide & sustain orphan care - they have so far helped to support over 80,000 orphans. Epic Road will donate $500 to Goods for Good on your behalf.

There are 1.3 million orphans in Malawi, many of whom are stunted by malnutrition before the age of 5, and all of whom are vulnerable to HIV/AIDS, violence and extreme poverty. Goods for Good provides local communities with the necessary resources to attain sustainable economic independence and create a nurturing & safe environment that gives children the chance to achieve.

WHY WE CHOSE IT - It is an organization that we value tremendously as we see firsthand both the need and the impact that we can have on these children's lives.

8. EMPOWER YOUNG WOMEN THROUGH EDUCATION

DESCRIPTION - The Batonga Foundation is a non-profit that aims to provide African girls with the higher education they need to succeed in life. Founded by Grammy-award winner Angelique Kidjo - an incredibly inspiring woman who uses her voice to raise awareness and shut down any and all obstacles that stand in the way of young girls going to school.

WHY WE CHOSE IT - The most pragmatic economic stimuli for the African continent is education and we heavily support Batonga's efforts to empower these young women.

9. PROTECT THE OCEAN

DESCRIPTION - Sea Legacy is a phenomenal non-profit that creates and uses striking high-impact visuals to educate and encourgae people to take action and protect our oceans. Their goal is to ensure that 20% of the ocean is under official protection by 2020.

WHY WE CHOSE IT - Whether we're travelling through the Southern Ocean surrounding Antarctica or the Indian Ocean surrounding the Maldives & the Seychelles, it is a powerful reminder that when it comes down to it, the Earth is an ocean planet. And what we do or fail to do in terms of its preservation in the next 10 years may just be the most important thing that we can do for the next 10,000 years.
