Guests looking for pure tranquility will find it on the quiet stretches of beach or the peaceful surrounding coconut groves, in the beautiful spa, or during a gourmet dinner in your own villa prepared by a private chef. Active explorers will find adventure too - climb to the top of the island’s own little mountain, Mt. Vomo, for a magical sunrise, spend the day on the resorts 9-hole golf course, or enroll in one of many scuba courses offered for all levels, including beginners and kids. In fact, Vomo is one of the more family-friendly resorts, especially in this part of the archipelago.

WHAT TO KNOW

When to go

Fiji is a year-round paradise, as temperatures stay tropical yet temperate most of the year. Storms run from November to April, with the driest time - and peak season - falling between between July and September; during that time book well ahead and expect to pay a premium.

Geography

Easily combined with a trip to Auckland, New Zealand (three hours) or Sydney (four hours); Fiji is a 10 hour flight from Los Angeles.
