WHAT WE LOVE

Water Sports:

Get certified to scuba dive amongst some of the most pristine and untouched reefs in the world, or simply don a snorkel and explore a vast underwater wonderland full of incredible tropical sea life.

Robinson Crusoe Fantasy:

Whether or not you’re staying at one of the smaller and more secluded resorts, several properties offer an experience that involves being dropped at a nearby deserted island with a champagne picnic for the ultimate private escape.

Organic, Local, Delicious Cuisine:

Many private islands tend their own organic farms and catch fresh seafood straight from the surrounding waters. Highly skilled private chefs are often available to prepare dinner in your own villa, making meal time an awesome journey of the senses for you and your loved ones.

Over The Top Luxury:

Golf courses woven through beach and jungle landscapes, private submarine rides, open-air sleeping villas, private plunge pools and masseuse at your beck and call - Fiji is a prime choice for those who want every wish granted, every vacation fantasy at their fingertips.

REST & REJUVENATE

VATUVARA PRIVATE ISLANDS RESORT:

Touch down on Vatuvara’s Kaibu Island after a short ride on the resort’s private aircraft, and then tuck away into one of three secluded villas that sit on the edge of a dramatic seaside cliff. At Vatuvara, each hideaway comes with luxuries like a private plunge pool, isolated swimming cove, hidden outdoor stone tub, separate dining gazebo, and dedicated massage therapist. If you decide to leave the confines of your private sanctuary, venture over to Vatuvara’s own pristine golf course or go hiking on lush jungle trails, immerse yourself in yoga or cooking classes, or indulge in a private champagne picnic on a nearby deserted island. Your gourmet meals are fresh as can be - watch the local fisherman carry in the day’s fresh catch and find it on your menu alongside produce from the island’s own organic farms. Vatuvara is an excellent choice for adults, but does not allow children under 16.

KOKOMO PRIVATE ISLAND RESORT:

Kokomo is a luxurious family-owned private island sanctuary offering an array of aquatic adventures in one of the most pristine, aspirational locales on the planet: just beyond this tiny island’s white sand beaches lies the Great Astrolabe Reef, the fourth largest in the world, making Kokomo a total dream destination for die-hard scuba divers. The resort has accommodation options that include both a beachfront villa with private pool and walled garden, or a larger hilltop residence nestled into the rainforest with incredible views. An optional private chef and butler are an indulgent option that make enjoying the sustainably sourced local produce and seafood even more special. Kokomo is equally ideal for honeymooners and families.

DOLPHIN ISLAND:

With just a maximum of eight guests at any given time, Dolphin Island Resort is available for exclusive use only - a real castaway experience. Set on 14 private acres just off the northern shore of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island, the resort’s three luxurious bures - traditional fijian dwellings - blend perfectly into the lush landscape. Your options include an elegant main residence, a beautiful guest villa, and a breathtaking, open-air sleep-out hut on a secluded nearby hilltop where guests sleep under the stars, surrounded by flickering candles and lanterns. Dolphin Island welcomes guests of all ages to relax on its secluded beaches, explore the surrounding wilderness, engage in world-class snorkeling, sea kayaking or diving, and become immersed in Fijian culture with authentic kava ceremonies or storytelling from nearby village elders.

NANUKU AUBERGE RESORT:

On Fiji’s main island Viti Levu, Nanuku features all of the amenities Auberge resorts are known for, like a full gym and beautiful spa, a variety of accommodation types from villas to suites and larger residences, and a beach that stretches two miles. But guests will also find the special touches of a small island hideaway - plenty of hidden nooks and quiet stretches on that long white sandy beach, secluded hammocks, and magnificent hidden waterfalls. More adventurous types can engage in thrilling activities like sandboarding down the rolling dunes or hiking to an overnight camping spot. Nanuku is one of the more family-friendly of Fiji’s premier resorts, with complimentary nanny services and dedicated kids’ activities.

VOMO ISLAND RESORT:

Vomo Island Resort occupies two small islands, one of which is home to its 28 beautiful beachfront villas, while the other is exclusively used for private, deserted island excursions. Both of these tiny South Pacific islands are the picture of paradise, surrounded by the quintessential palm fringed white sand and crystal clear turquoise waters that Fiji is famous for. Guests looking for pure tranquility will find it on the quiet stretches of beach or the peaceful surrounding coconut groves, in the beautiful spa, or during a gourmet dinner in your own villa prepared by a private chef. Active explorers will find adventure too - climb to the top of the island’s own little mountain, Mt. Vomo, for a magical sunrise, spend the day on the resorts 9-hole golf course, or enroll in one of many scuba courses offered for all levels, including beginners and kids. In fact, Vomo is one of the more family-friendly resorts, especially in this part of the archipelago.

LAUCALA RESORT:

A 3500 acre private island refuge in the South Pacific, Laucala Island Resort is owned by Austrian billionaire and Red Bull Co-Founder Dietrich Mateschitz who has spared no expense in making Laucala Island one of the most exclusive travel destinations on the planet. The property’s 25 secluded villas that range in size from 3,000 square feet to an astounding 122,000 square feet are set on one corner of the island surrounded by deserted beaches, lush rainforest filled with rare wildlife, vast coconut plantations, stunning volcanic mountains, and endless jungle. Go for a sunrise horseback ride, spend the afternoon jet skiing or diving among the plentiful fertile coral reefs, enjoy blissful sunset sailing or yachting, and at night explore the endless private dining options including a traditional Japanese Teppanyaki carved into the side of a cliff. Want to go home with a James Bond-like story? Take a ride in the resort’s own DeepFlight Super Falcon submarine that flies underwater like a powerful deep sea creature.

WHAT TO KNOW

When to go

Fiji is a year-round paradise, as temperatures stay tropical yet temperate most of the year. Storms run from November to April, with the driest time - and peak season - falling between between July and September; during that time book well ahead and expect to pay a premium.

Geography

Easily combined with a trip to Auckland (three hours) or Sydney (four hours); Fiji is a 10 hour flight from Los Angeles.
